I can’t believe how fast our kids grow up. Just yesterday they were walking along the furniture and sleeping in a crib. The girls have had many bedroom makeovers over the years. I mean, I did design kids decor for a few years, so we were always changing their room. The girl’s shared bedroom has been so fun to decorate and redecorate. It had an adorable bright pink wall that I painted when I was pregnant with Tessa. Everything looked cute against that pink wall. But as the girls have gotten older and their love for pink has faded, it was time for a change. It was also really important that we create a space for them to sit and do homework or read. It was time to give them a makeover and set up a work area for them! Here is how I designed a Whimsical Bedroom Ideas Girls.

Here are some before pictures of what their room used to look like over the years.
Here is what the Girl’s room looks like now!
It was hard to get rid of that pink accent wall. The girls were begging for a change and honestly, i was ready to do something different too. We found this adorable Scandi Flower wallpaper and fell in love. From there everything fell perfectly into place to make this whimsical room for my little women.
We upgraded the girls beds to something a little more modern. I love the simple gold frame of the beds. These boho butterfly sheets are a literal dream and became a big inspiration for the design. We added these purple check comforters to make the beds extra cozy (they are so soft). Then we added some fun throw pillows to pull in different colors in the room. I love this round, purple, velvet throw pillows and isn’t the ladybug pillow the cutest thing ever. These add great texture to the room. I also loved these black and white floral pillows to bring out some of dark colors in the room.
We kept their white and gold wall scones about each bed because I’m still totally in love with them. In-between their beds we added the cutest locker cabinet. I love how it has lots of room for storage for the girls. Its long enough to hold our fun retro fan, a plant and of course their diffuser. Essential Oils have become A MUST in our bedtime routine. This set of rollers for kids is our favorite and a great way to get started with oils, the Sleepyize is WONDERFUL sleep support for kids and smells so dreamy.
Loving our Bedroom Ideas for Girls? See how we made a work space for them! On the other side of the room is where we set up their new desk area and I am OBSESSED. It turned out to be the cutest little corner. If you follow along on Instagram, you know I’ve shared how hard it was to make that wall look cute. We tried bookshelves and a dresser, but the desk was the perfect solution. I find the girls constantly sitting at their desk. They draw pictures and play Legos and I think they really enjoy having a space in their room to play in quiet…I enjoy it too!
For their desk area I hung a gold wire picture hanger (is that what it’s called?) where they can attached love notes and pictures. We also hung their black and white silhouettes. That has to be one of my favorite details. It’s like I froze in time their preciousness and hung it on the wall. On the desk they have an office desk pad, cute desk lamp and some really fun pencils that have compliments written on them and highlighters.
In the corner I took an old corner cabinet that used to be mine and painted it black. I love how the black pops off the yellow wallpaper. It’s so special that I have pieces like this that are handed down from my childhood.
My last favorite detail is the new light fixture we added to the ceiling. It’s totally gorgeous and the crystal flowers are such a fun, dainty touch to the girl’s bedroom. We originally fell in love with this light fixture from Anthropologie but found this dupe on Amazon which was the perfect price point we were looking for. Very impressed with the quality!
