Party Decoration Ideas
Decorating is easy. Anything pink, sparkly, flowery, and frilly will do. But everyone knows that a real princess needs a grand entrance. As the girls arrived, they were greeted with a large cardboard castle and balloons. Put together with some old cardboard boxes and tape, this was a big way to welcome them. Before walking through the door they were handed a felt, pink crown that they would get the opportunity to decorate later in the party.
Inside on the table I laid a pale pink table cloth down and then took pink and yellow tulle and draped it on top like a runner. This gave it a very “once upon a dream” look. In the center was a few vases of flowers. Of course, we had to have Belle’s magical red roses mixed in. At each girls place setting I had a pink plate with a pink and white stripe napkin. The napkin holder was a mini, sparkly crown and then I slipped a wand through the top that had their initial on it. Simple but totally magical.
Finger Food for a Princess
The princesses wanted some tasty treats to snack on. I bought some vanilla cupcakes with multi-colored sprinkles on top from the grocery store. In a large bowl, I filled with popcorn and then topped with a crown. I made fruit skewers out of plastic star wands with strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. Those were a big hit! For drinks they sipped pink lemonade out of princess cups with a pink and white stripe straw.
Glass Slipper Scavenger Hunt Activity
Princesses love to play games. So we went on a grand glass slipper scavenger hunt. Throughout the backyard were hidden glass slippers and crowns. The girls had so much fun running around the yard and collection their treasures.
DIY Princess Globe Craft for Kids
My girls love to craft so we usually include some kind of craft activity at all our parties. This DIY craft is super easy and a treasure that guests can take home and keep in their room.
How to make a Princess Globe
You need a clear jar with a lid. Any shape will do.
Step One is to remove the lid and hot glue their favorite Princess figurine on the inside of the lid. Try to find out each girls favorite Princess before the party.
Step Two is to fill the jar with water. Add Glycerin and your favorite glitter.
Step Three is screw the lid back on, shake and you have your very own Sparkly Princess Globe! It’s magic!
Party Favors
As a little extra something to take home, the girls got a Princess Pencil Pouch with a set of rainbow colored pencils. A few little treats and a Princess Color Book from the dollar store were added too.
