I love decorating the girls shared bedroom for the holidays. They think it is so magical with all the cozy bedding and twinkling lights. It’s a fun and comfy place to hang out. It’s where we end up most nights just chatting, reading books and watching the snow fall from their windows.

How I Styled Their Bedroom
Cozy Details
First thing I did was add some cozy bedding. Sherpa blankets replaced the girls regular comforters. Really that is all you need to make it more Wintery. The girls LOVE the super soft blankets. I made the bed with Christmas Flannel Sheets and added a large faux fur pillow to complete their beds.
Advent Calendar
I know Advent Calendars are popular for the holidays. My mom got this really cute hanging advent calendar for the kids. Originally, we had it on their bedroom door, but later decided to hang it in-between their beds. I removed the pictures from their wall gallery and hung the advent calendar on a nail that was already there. SO EASY! I draped the “Merry Christmas” Banner around it and TA-DA, the wall was done.
We set their little Christmas Tree on their storage benches and a little Glittery Night Light House. A few Christmas Books replaced their regular books. A red throw that I used in the living room last year was the final touch for the girls Holiday Bedroom Decor.
My biggest advice for pulling together a look like this is to not be afraid of mixing and matching colors. I love the organic, Scandinavian look of the room. If you look closely you see that nothing really matches…its the colors that tie it all together. The Nutcracker stocking and Pillow were mine when I was a little girl. The little bits of red throughout the room is how it all ties so nicely together. I’m so in love with this room. It really feels magical when you walk in.
