There seems to be a new tradition in schools, celebrating the 100th day of school. I don’t remember doing this as a kid, but over the last couple of years it seems to be all the rage for young kids. They get to dress up like 100 year old outfit idea for kids and do fun projects including the number 100.

I don’t like to spend a lot (or any) money on stuff like this. So I had to get creative on how to dress the girls up. Luckily they celebrated on two separate days, so I was able to reuse some of the items. Here is how I made a quick and cheap 100 year old costume for the girls 100th day of school.
Items for turning your kid into a 100 year old.
Glasses : I took an old pair of kids sunglasses and popped the lenses out.
Grey Hair: I bought this grey hair color spray. This worked PERFECT in turning their hair grey. 1 can easily did both of the girls.
Outfit: Evie decided she wanted to wear her plush robe for kids (comes in tons of colors) and slippers and Tess wanted to wear a comfy cardigan. Both were items we already had in their closet.
Accessories: I saw a lot of kids walking around the school with canes. Evie decided to bring a mug with a tea bag in honor of her great grandmother who LOVES her hot tea.
Both girls turned out so cute. I think they will make some pretty cute old ladies 80 years from now. This would be a really fun last minute costume idea for Halloween too!
