I might be the last person on Earth to learn about Frosé, but that isn’t going to stop me from shouting it from them rooftops. One day Rex came up to me and ask “Have you ever heard of Strawberry Frosé?” I quickly responded “No, but I want to.” He told me it was a recipe that took frozen Rosé and other goodness, and you blend it together to make an adult wine slushie. Cue digging in the kitchen for the ice cube trays and blender. This will be my drink of choice this Summer. We naturally began mixing and blending all kinds of ingredients with our frozen Rosé over the next few weekends and ended up with the best Strawberry Frosé Recipe. It’s a little bit sweet and extremely refreshing. The perfect cocktail for your summer parties or afternoon drinking on the patio.
Here is how to make Strawberry Frosé
You will want to start with freezing your Rosé. Don’t spend a lot of money on an expensive bottle of Rosé Wine. I used a $8 bottle for this recipe. To freeze I poured the Rosé into an ice cube tray and put it in the freezer.
To make your Strawberry Frose blend
- 1 bottle of Rosé (frozen
- 1/2 cup of ice
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1 heaping cup of strawberries
- juice of 2 lemons
Blend all the ingredients together and pour into a pitcher. Place the pitcher in the freezer for about 30 mins. Once you get the right “slurpee” consistency, pour into your glasses and garnish with a slice of lime.
This is such a fun cocktail recipe to make when you are entertaining this Summer. Even Rex loves it, but he insists on calling it a “BROsé”.
