Smiley Faces and Daisy Balloons
Balloons are must for an epic party. I picked a pastel pink and yellow color pallet for our theme. This balloon kit was perfect and came with everything we needed for decorations. It came with smiley faces and adorable daisy balloons that went perfectly with our theme. Since we were bringing the party to her, I assembled the balloon garland at home using the balloon garland strip that came with the kit and then stuffed them in the back of our car. The kids got a kick out of that.
60’s themed Flowers
I went to our nearby Trader Joes for flowers. Have you seen their selection? It’s amazing. I was originally going in to get large sunflowers but when I saw the pretty pink flowers and the ADORABLE bundles of chamomile, I changed my mind. I love how these arrangements turned out. Totally gorgeous and groovy.
Celebrating the Birthday Girl
I came up with the idea of honoring my mom through pictures. We took poster board and in the shape of a giant 6 and a giant 0 we placed all our favorite pictures of her. Most of them were pictures of her with her grandkids because we know where her heart lies.
Birthday Party Snack Board
You know that I’m the first to make a snack board for ANY occasion. So, my mom’s 60th Birthday Party was no different. I made a giant charcuterie board full of delicious goodies. A few fun party picks and table decor made it festive.
Peace Sign Treats
Can’t have a birthday without blowing out candles! We had a beautiful cake made for my mom in the shape of a peace sign. It was so pretty we didn’t want to cut into it. These Groovy cookies make perfect party favors or treats for the kids!
